Job Purpose

This position will be responsible to drive and lead the implementation of strategies and road map in addressing plant technical requirement through technical advisory, improvement initiatives, value creation opportunities and best practices while keeping abreast with latest technology and innovative solutions to achieve high plant reliability, integrity and HSE compliance to support business goals in sustaining company high profitability and growth.

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Monitoring of actual monthly average individual process units stream yields & qualities, final product blending and overall refinery production & utilities consumption.
  2. Perform the LP backcasting in a monthly cycle and to have close interaction with the planning and scheduling.
  3. Drive LP backcasting best practices within the industry and establish the methodology and processes.
  4. Custodian for the knowledge management and training for the overall LP backcasting and philosophy. Lead in training module development and enhancement as well as provide training and coaching for PREFCHEM.
  5. Backcasting specialist requires frequent interaction with schedulers’ scheduling tools and applications especially in determining the average applicable bias of flow quantities and properties reconciled from the actual daily measurement.
  6. Responsible and accountable for LP backcasting including plant economics and margin analysis.
  7. Lead and drive the improvement opportunity from backcasting perspectives to maximise overall profitability.
  8. Act as resource and mentor and identify potential talent within PREFCHEM.
  9. Develop strategy/roadmap to address technical requirement and evaluate value creation opportunities.

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree in engineering preferably chemical engineering
  • At least minimum of 12 years experiences in LP modelling and analysis preferably in oil and gas industry.
  • Strong management skills and ability to work with all level.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
