Job Purpose

 

Lead and drive Energy & Loss Management System (ELMS) initiatives and studies to optimise energy usage and minimise energy losses via optimizing Process/Utilities operations to achieve operational excellence and global competitive advantage for PRefChem’s business.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

1. Lead and drive a continually improved baseline for energy performance by determining optimum achievable individual energy performance KPIs for major plant equipment/facilities such as boilers, furnace, gas/steam turbines, flare and heat exchangers to ensure all the equipment are measured against the best feasible targets for the most optimum efficiency.

 

2. Lead the benchmarking exercise on energy performance with other similar industries, peers and competitors and execute detail energy and loss studies arising from the benchmarking results or energy monitoring and lead multidisciplinary team in the field test run to further improve energy performance.

 

3. Lead and steward the effectiveness of the Energy and Loss Management System against PRefChem guidelines, where activities and projects were successful - document best practices to share throughout the organization; where goals were not met, determine the cause and decide what corrective or preventive actions should be taken; to continually improve the ELMS system.

 

4. Lead and steward weekly and monthly ELMS status and activities highlights to provide line management with the latest update on activity progress for information and decision making.

 

5. Lead and steward in ELMS COP meeting, seminars, workshops, involvement in professional bodies and knowledge sharing events in order to keep update with the latest trend/innovations that relates to ELMS in the industry.

 

 

Qualification & Experience

 

Degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum of 12 years working experiences in oil & gas is highly preferred.
